Jill Foulston

A former commissioning editor for Virago, Little Brown and Penguin, Jill Foulston has worked with some of the most exciting names in contemporary fiction – among them Sarah Waters and Michelle Lovric – as well as classic authors such as Paul Bowles and Muriel Spark.

Jill’s translation of Erri de Luca’s, The Day Before Happiness, was recently published by Penguin, and she has also translated novels by Piero Chiara and Augusto De Angelis for Pushkin. Her book on Italian food and interiors, La Vita è Bella is published by Ryland, Peters & Small, and her two anthologies, The Joy of Eating and The Joy of Shopping, by Virago.
